Aiming to transform animation and movie-based IPs into virtual reality and interactive experiences, the award-winning animation studio, Omens Studios, has launched a new program called the Omens Multiverse.
The studio is currently working on the VR experiences of Circle Line and Oasis, which will feature NFT collections. Additionally, Omens Studios is developing a Leo the Wildlife Ranger-themed Roblox experience that will launch in the second quarter of 2023.
The web3 framework for the Omens Multiverse website debuted on December 12, 2022, and is based on the Ethereum blockchain. The Omens Multiverse Token (OMT), which users can utilize to obtain several benefits and trade in-world items in the VR experience, is a unique token created by Omens that NFT holders can earn.
Before the film’s January 5, 2023 release in Singapore and Malaysia, the first project, Circle Line, which is based on Taipan Film’s Circle Line film and features visual effects made by Omens Studios, will offer an NFT collection created using algorithmic generation. It is slated for release in late December. The development and release of the Circle Line VR experience, scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2023 in major VR stores, will mark the project’s conclusion.
The program will grant NFT holders access to benefits such as movie tickets, members-only content, promotional codes for products, and whitelist spots for priority NFT access in other Omens Multiverse projects.
In addition to these benefits, the NFTs can be staked to obtain OMTs, which can then be exchanged for exclusive in-world items and a free download of the VR experience in the fourth quarter of 2023. A virtual reality experience that immerses you in action and puts you face-to-face with the Circle Line monster will enable audiences to enter the world of Circle Line, overcome challenges, and survive the night.
Based on the same-titled, first, and most successful animated short film from Omens Studios, Oasis is also in development right now. With the help of the wisecracking otter sidekick Trusty and the stern gorilla George, this project will feature a brand-new collection of interactive VR stories that let the audience take on the role of a space miner caught up in a crucial civil war.
