Discovering if a robot is right for an application is more accessible following ABB’s new AR viewer, which is included in ABB’s RobotStudio programming software.
RobotStudio AR Viewer application is used to examine a model designed in RobotStudio, allowing users to get an idea of the scale and size of a robot and how it can be used in a factory tandem with available production equipment.
With augmented reality technology, the application overlays the modeled solution into the real-life production, with the capability to scale it to full size and twist it through different angles to produce the most favorable result. The advantages of the augmented reality Viewer stretch to being able to view the system in action. A timeline trait makes it feasible to check the cycle time and allow users to improve performance.
It is available for free on Apple and Google Play Store. The application offers a safe, low cost, and easy way of visualizing an installation used by groups or individuals. The AR Viewer is perfect for businesses that are new to robotic automation and companies who have lacked the time and/or resources to start the installation.
