CD Projekt is bringing the mobile version of the Witcher for both iOS and Android, and it will be in the form of an AR, free-to-play location-based RPG.
The game will be known as The Witcher: Monster Slayer. In this feral version of the Continent, players are thrust, through the bedazzling technological magic of pointing their screen at things, in the role of a fledgling Witcher.
By wandering around the real world, changed into the dark fantasy area of The Witcher by AR, players must track, study, and eventually fight creatures to become an elite monster hunter.
Spokko also says to anticipate “rich, story-driven quests” that attract earlier games in the Witcher series. The live-action trailer highlights a look at almost none of the above, but gamers do get a quick peek at a Leshen, and there are some reasonably dinky screenshots just up a bit.
The Witcher: Monster Slayer will be accessible on Android and iOS, and CD Projekt.
