Players can now experience Red Dead Redemption 2 in VR. The unofficial Red Dead Redemption 2 virtual reality mod comes courtesy of Luke Ross.
Luke Ross was also responsible for the R.E.A.L. virtual reality mod for Grand Theft Auto V.
According to Ross, the Red Dead Redemption 2 is much more advanced than Grand Theft Auto V from a technical perspective. Also, the graphics APIs it supports are more complex than DX11, which was used in GTA V.
Luke Ross has been working on the game for the last six months. He also plans to keep enhancing the RDR2 mod in the short term. He also hopes to start modding different AAA games, mentioning Horizon Zero Dawn, Cyberpunk 2077, Watch Dogs: Legions, and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Interested players will have to subscribe (at $10 per month) to Ross’ Patreon for access to the RDR2 mod.
