Spaces Interactive, an Australian-based AR company, has designed a webAR (web-based augmented reality) campaign Oppo’s latest Find X3 smartphone series.
The webAR campaign ‘Awaken Colour’ was created to attract audiences remotely, using augmented reality, with a webAR game that highlights essential technical features of the Find X3 smartphones, like the AI scene enhancement, camera, among others.
The gamified experience requires no app download as it uses QR codes and website links for users to view the perspective art pieces. As they get nearer to forming the object, the hidden information related to the Find X3 smartphone traits is revealed.
Users who engage are placed on a leaderboard. As an added motivation, at the end of each week, the company selects users at the top of the leaderboard and puts them into the competition of winning a range of Oppo products, including the Find X3.
“The Find X3 Series is all about innovation and cutting edge technology, so it was vital we developed a user experience that reflected that. Through the development of the Awaken Colour webAR, we were able to not only communicate the key features of our flagship device but do so through an immersive and engaging consumer experience befitting of the brand.” – Jessica Lin, Visual communications specialist at Oppo.
With a robust emerging tech and events background, Spaces Interactive uses mobile, web, and AR & VR to develop immersive experiences for brands and businesses.
“WebAR provides the perfect solution for Oppo, allowing them to promote the ‘Awaken Colour’ competition and providing instant access to the digital brand activation, a great option as studies show that 61% of audiences are not willing to download apps to communicate with brands.” – Mark Dries, Spaces Interactive.
