NexTech AR Solutions, a provider of VR and AR experience technologies and services for education, eCommerce, virtual events, and conferences, has announced that they have launched a new collaborative streaming solution with artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) enhancements. The solution integrates with the VEP (Virtual Experience Platform) and its ARitize SaaS offerings. The company will also provide the ARoom streaming platform as a stand-alone service similar to Zoom, which will increase NexTech’s revenue potential for FY 2021.

Artificial intelligence and augmented reality features will be available for the streaming interface, which will enable virtual/hybrid event and conference experiences that break the confines of laptops and mobile phones used by guests. Without the requirement for a third-party streaming provider, NexTech can now incorporate augmented reality into the streaming experience through AR objects, AR filters, and presenter holograms.

With the launch of the new video streaming solution, NexTech’s multiple platforms now can support immersive streaming collaboration services within the platform, without the need to use Zoom or any other third-party streaming service. By using SRT (secure, reliable transport) streaming protocol, the solution is capable of streaming video content into the solution from other sources, as well as communicating in-platform streams and content out to other environments.

Like NexTech’s Virtual Experience Platform, the new streaming solution will be completely scalable and designed to make a conference, meeting, virtual expo, etc., robust for all guests, regardless of size and scope.

“Today’s remote events require a lot of moving pieces — event managers often need to bring off-site speakers into the event’s live stream using an external video conferencing product like Zoom or Teams to allow for collaboration between presenters and attendees. With our new ‘ARoom’ we’re changing the game by including video conferencing directly on our platform, enabling deep integration and natural use.” Mark Pace, CTO, Virtual Experience Platform at NexTech AR.
