The multinational semiconductor company AMD is currently on roll, battling with Intel on one side with CPUs and giving NVIDIA a run for its money on the GPUs.

The company is now partnering with Magic Leap for an “AR technology solution” including a semi-custom SoC to “enable enterprise users to re-imagine and transform how virtual content and information is visualized and merged with real-world environments.”

The announcement was officially made on Magic Leap’s website and also spotted on the Director for Gaming Marketing for AMD, Sasa Marinkovic’s Twitter.

Jack Huynh, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of AMD Semi-Custom Business Unit stated, “We have a shared vision with Magic Leap to shape the future of computing and transform the way enterprises worldwide work and interact with each other and their customers. We started this journey together several years ago to co-innovate on computer vision and build the best semi-custom technology for AR”.
