British artist Jam Sutton is best known for creating art exploring the relationship between antiquity and technology. His art uses 3D scans, 3D printing, and AR to develop sculptures. Jam Sutton, at present, is planning to release a collection of AR sculptures as NFTs on Nifty Gateway. He will be releasing the sculptures in partnership with IV Gallery.

The collection of AR sculptures is labeled Through Constant Decay highlights self-portraits of the artist as 3D sculptures that draw motivation from ancient Roman and Greek statues. 

“I want to create impressions of figures, casting a representation of my subject as a digital shell, cracked and imperfect from glitches during the scanning process. I’m attempting to capture the essence of existence and suspending it in digital and physical spaces.” – Sutton.

The NFTs in the collection have an augmented reality marker that enables buyers to place the sculpture in their space when using the Jam Sutton Studio app.
