Bristol Zoo could actually become the world’s first augmented reality zoo.

In 2022, the Bristol zoo is expected to shift from the gardens in Clifton to South Gloucestershire’s Wild Place Project.

#OurWorldBristol has stated that the Clifton site is under threat of being forgotten to a private housing development.

To turn the tide, the group has an innovative plan for the future, which is to open the world’s first provincial zoo with innovative technology.

The ‘augmented reality zoo’ intends to provide a completely immersive experience to visitors by allowing them to travel in time, scale, and space to experience animals in their natural environment.

Zoo visitors can also enter the world of insects or travel millions of years back to when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
