Korg, the electronic instrument manufacturer, has recently showcased the Korg Gadget-VR. It is a new music-making application for virtual reality headsets that allow users access to various professional synthesizers, software, and electronic keyboards in virtual studio settings.
The promotional video released by the company as part of its future product preview presents a user interacting with a combination of electronic tools within a virtual space. The video shows a menu of familiar synths that are also present in the KORG Gadget 2 application, such as Brussels Monophonic Anthem Synthesizer, Helsinki Polyphonic Ambient Synthesizer, Kingston Polyphonic Chip Synthesizer, Tokyo Analog Percussion Synthesizer, and Amsterdam PCM SFX Boombox.
As shown in the video, Korg GADGET-VR was built in partnership with Detune by utilizing the Unreal Engine platform. It is believed to be launched later in 2021.
