The interactive Metaverse Music Festival’s second edition, to be held from November 10 – 13, 2022, will be hosted by Decentraland in collaboration with OVER, the decentralized infrastructure for an open, AR-enabled metaverse.

The virtual music event will feature performances by DJs, producers, and artists like Regard and Nicola Fasano and will be the first cross-metaverse collaboration between the two platforms.

Using their smartphones, OVER users can design their own customized avatars and participate in the live music event via mixed reality. Over three days, the music festival’s distinctive community genre stages will offer fascinating Web3 performances, including an interactive DJ setlist on the OVER stage.

The DJ performances can be viewed in video mode by simply entering the Decentraland metaverse. Users can also enter the OVER metaverse using the QR code on the stage for a more realistic augmented reality experience.

Top DJs and producers will perform live during the event for music fans to enjoy. Regard has had massive success with viral TikTok hits such as ‘Ride It’ and ‘Secrets,’ which have nearly 2 billion Spotify streams. He will play as the event’s opening act, along with other artists like ‘I Like To Move It’ creator Nicola Fasano, ‘Let it Bleed’ producer Jamis, DJ and producer Danilo Rossini, and beatboxing expert Azel.

“Our partnership with Decentraland represents the future of virtual and physical events, allowing users to experience the best of in-person events with the added features, information, and technology of the metaverse,” said Davide Cuttini, co-founder and CEO of OVER.

The collaboration between Decentraland and OVER aims to revitalize the metaverse and establish a new dimension where users can improve conventional entertainment experiences using photorealistic augmented reality technology. With the help of OVER’s AR technology, users can watch live music and communicate with people worldwide for free using unique, customizable 3D avatars.

This is the latest in a series of collaborations in which OVER has taken part to further its mission of making the AR-enabled, open metaverse accessible to all.
