The first-ever horse racing competition to be hosted within the metaverse recently took place in Dubai. The play-to-earn (P2E) metaverse-based horse racing platform Dubai Verse Cup (DVCC) and the renowned Dubai Racing Club (DRC) collaborated to host the event, which brought the vibrant sports culture of the Emirate to the metaverse.

Thanks to the Dubai Verse Cup platform, users can use smartphones and AR/VR devices to experience the real-life excitement of horse racing and breeding. Duba Verse Cup is the foremost decentralized synthetic assets platform that unites intellectual property and hash rate assets.

The game’s developer, DVCC, has released the public beta version and is working to build an open platform that welcomes users and third-party developers, ultimately aiming to improve customer experience.

“Our platform combines futuristic metaverse gaming with Dubai’s rich horse racing ecosystem. It was just instinctive to partner with the best and most experienced in the industry, Dubai Racing Club,” said Vincent Isik, CEO of Dubai Verse Cup (DVCC).

With the partnership’s help, the company can further develop its play-to-earn gaming concept, in which players earn $DVCC tokens as rewards for successful racing and breeding. At the center of Meydan Racecourse, the game serves as a thriving marketplace and arena for competition, leveraging the ability of players to exchange tokens for horses, perks, skins, and avatars.

Isik claims that the game is played in a family-based system to enhance the immersive and engaging experience even more. Users can team up as a family to compete with other families and improve their business and racing skills, resulting in greater rewards for the whole family.
