Snapchat has released a new AR Lens on 10th June, where users can turn their favorite actors and themselves into Pixar movie characters.

According to Snap, 215+ million Snapchat users have interacted with the Cartoon 3D Style Lens since its launch. The AR Lens has tallied around 1.7 billion views during this period.

With the Cartoon 3D Style Lens, Snapchat users can mix photos captured with the Snapchat camera or pictures taken anywhere else and saved to the camera roll where Snapchat can recognize a face. The Snapchat AR lens can also be used on videos making it even more exciting.

Users can flip the camera to the rear lens to remix any TV or movie scene as a Pixar-style animated movie. Snapchat users can save images using the camera roll functionality and transform them into Pixar’s animated characters.

Trying a Cartoon 3D Style lens with a scene from Breaking Bad proves the AR Lens’s capacity to augment more than one face at once.

The Cartoon 3D Style from Snapchat is a better experience. Not only does the AR Lens come without the upsell, but the lens also gives its results instantly with video or photos, without any wait time.

It is also not Snapchat’s first try at a cartoon filter. But Cartoon 3D Style is considered to be the best version among all cartoon filters.
