Attending the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden and VP elect Kamala Harris is not possible for most of the people because of the concerns, but the Presidential Inauguration Committee has partnered with Snap Inc. to virtually allow people to attend the inauguration.
Both Presidential Inauguration Committee Snap Inc. will offer a series of AR lenses that will virtually transport Snapchat users to the festivities at the U.S. Capitol this Wednesday.
Snapchatters accessing the lens in world view can see an exclusive clip where Joe Biden says, “Hey, Snapchat: It’s me, Joe. Welcome to inauguration.” Users can then access the link to watch the live stream of the inauguration program.
“This year’s inauguration has allowed us to create new, innovative, and creative tools for Americans across the country to participate in inaugural traditions and ceremonies while staying home to keep everyone safe. We are excited for President-elect Biden to share his message around unifying the country with folks on Snapchat and invite them to be a part of this historic inaugural. We hope this tool will bring the inaugural experience to young Americans wherever they are and encourage them to share it with their friends and families.” – Christian Tom, Digital Director, Presidential Inauguration Committee.
