RobotLAB, an educational robotics provider, has partnered with Avantis Ltd., one of the leaders in virtual reality for the classroom in the UK. ClassVR, which is Avantis’ premium product, provides an adaptable platform that uses the power of virtual reality and augmented reality for education. The platform offers a variety of lesson plans and access to classroom management devices and a real-time classroom delivery platform.
“We are working in the Virtual Field Trips market for many years. First, as Google Expeditions’ global certified partner, and now that it was retired, as the creator of Google Expeditions’ alternative – VR Expeditions 2.0. The partnership with Avantis and the introduction of ClassVR as a part of RobotLAB’s portfolio cements RobotLAB’s leadership in the Educational VR field and the commitment to the education community,” – Elad Inbar, RobotLAB’ CEO.
According to RobotLAB the company believes that this colaboration with Avantis will help enhance the educational tech segment not only for in-person guidance in the classroom, but also during the current pandemic times.
The ClassVR is available in sets of 4, 8 & 30 headsets and will look to expand RobotLAB’s VR portfolio which ranges from the Standard VR kits, Advanced VR kits, to AR and VR kits and the recently launched ClassVR kits. Teachers can experience ClassVR content on the tools and later can experience on VR Expeditions 2.0 content on the ClassVR platform.
“We are incredibly excited that RobotLAB is representing ClassVR. ClassVR has been an educational success worldwide, and the partnership with RobotLAB will help to bring it to many more schools. ClassVR was named the 5* Winner of the Tech for Teachers Award. We are always conscious that any classroom technology should be relevant and impactful and not just about the technology, so it was great to see that RobotLAB has a similar mission statement. Sometimes, the stars align perfectly.” – Huw Williams, CMO, Avantis.
