Meta has announced a new gaming service for its virtual reality (VR) headset. Meta said in a tweet on Monday, that the new Meta Quest+ has two “handpicked” games each month. Subscriptions are available for a limited time and cost $1 for the first month, then $7.99 per month and $59.99 per year thereafter, according to the Meta Quest+ website.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced on Instagram’s Meta Channel radio on Monday, June 26, that the service launches Monday for Quest 2 and Pro and will be available for Quest 3 “soon.”

According to the website, users will have access to two copies of the game each month and use them via the internet, headset or the Meta Quest app. After Meta announced in March that its $400 Quest 2 headset had sold approximately 20 million units as of 2020, it recently dropped the price of its high-end device, the Quest Pro, from $1,500 to $1,000 due to lack of dollar sales.
