To provide access to their clients’ employees to some of the most popular modules from the partnership with TransfrVR, the Alabama Robotics Technology Park announced the availability of virtual reality classes for all its new and existing clients. The modules will include subjects such as Paint Robot Troubleshooting, Plant Safety, and Precision Measurement.

Virtual reality training can effectively cater to a wide, diverse audience because of its ability to adapt to various learning styles. It has several advantages over the conventional training methods including safety for trainees, higher learning engagement, and higher retention of materials learned.

The Paint Robot Troubleshooting module is designed for trainees with basic to intermediate automotive manufacturing paint robot experience. It introduces them to the paint robot and booth, standard troubleshooting steps involving moisture on or around the robot, and the most common problems and resolution steps to get the robot and production line back up and running in case of a mishap.

The Plant Safety module is designed for trainees with little to no experience in a manufacturing environment. It introduces them to common safety considerations when working in a manufacturing plant environment. They also gain insights into the personal protective equipment, common tools, and safety situations they may encounter in the workplace.

The Precision Measurement module is designed for trainees who have basic math skills with no experience with measurement tools. It introduces them to precision measurement instruments commonly used in manufacturing and assembly environments. They get familiarised with each measurement tool, understand how to properly take measurements with the tool, and how to properly read the measurement tool indicators.
