Raythink Technology which specializes in AR software for cars, has received funding in a Series A round from investors including Oriental Fortune Capital, Plum Ventures, and Weed Ventures.

Raythink Technology, founded in 2019, has many augmented reality patents, and its main product is AR HUD (heads-up display), which is used in passenger vehicles and in some rail transit, with the company signing a strategic cooperation deal with China Railway Signal and Communication Group.

The augmented reality technology lets Raythink’s products project information onto the windshield. This includes traffic laws, vehicle data, and real-time route guidance. The augmented reality display minimizes driver’s distraction when compared to dashboard systems.

Raythink strives to control the industry niche between auto part suppliers and heads-up display groups by building its car-specific augmented reality display for less than what it would cost OEMs to build in-house.

Raythink’s rail transport system can identify objects as far as two km away and improve the efficiency of information and data exchange and safety warnings on the Chinese fleet of high-speed trains.
