The virtual reality entertainment provider, SoReal, is opening a new location at Disneytown at Shanghai Disney Resort, introducing two floors of immersive VR entertainment to the resort.
On its first story, the flagship SoReal VR SuperSpace will feature several virtual reality experiences, while its second floor will host a walk-through VR experience.
Most activities, including holographic pictures, special effects, and 3D scanning on the second level with its Monkey King theme, are based on the classic Chinese novel “Journey to the West.”
Through games and a VR experience on the first level, visitors may unleash their inner “Monkey King” and engage in single and multiplayer fights against evil.
“At Shanghai Disney Resort, we continue to seek new and innovative ways to provide an exceptional guest experience,” said Joe Schott, President and General Manager of Shanghai Disney Resort.
The location is in Disneytown’s Lakeshore section, which will provide ticket packages, including entrance to Shanghai Disneyland. Bundles will be available that include one or two days of entry to Shanghai Disneyland and your pick of either the Monkey King area on the second floor or one of the four virtual reality experiences at SoReal VR SuperSpace’s first floor.
Ticket packages go on sale beginning on September 10. SoReal Virtual Reality SuperSpace area tickets are also available separately.
