The leading provider of remote connectivity and workplace digitalization solutions, TeamViewer, has partnered with the global mobility solutions provider, Hyundai Motor Company. The two companies aim to digitize business operations and manufacturing processes for the Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS).

Together, TeamViewer and Hyundai Motor Company will use the Augmented Reality platform from TeamViewer, which also has Mixed Reality and Artificial Intelligence capabilities, to optimize the benefits of digitalization within HMGICS’ smart factory. The platform will assist with client experience, logistics, assembly, quality management, and training projects.

The two businesses will collaborate on research and development (R&D) projects in immersive digital experiences for front-line workers, smart factory operations powered by AR, and AI support for future automotive factories. Overall, the alliance will boost the front-line production workers’ productivity, accuracy, speed, and safety. The two parties will also seek global joint marketing of smart factories and enterprise AR technology to leverage these benefits for the industry.

“We are pleased to have TeamViewer as a key technology partner for digital transformation in building a smart factory,” said Hong Bum Jung, Chief Executive Officer of HMGICS.

Hyundai’s plan to lead the future mobility industry includes creating an intelligent manufacturing platform. The automaker has presented a vision for a future smart factory for mobility as part of its ongoing innovation of the entire mobility value chain.

“We are excited to collaborate with Hyundai Motor Company in digitizing manufacturing processes and building an automotive factory of the future,” said Sojung Lee, President of TeamViewer Asia Pacific.

A growing demand exists for augmented reality tools like TeamViewer Frontline that help optimize manual work processes in industrial settings as the pace of digital transformation on the shop floor has intensified.

HMGICS, the Group’s test bed, and a worldwide open innovation hub, intends to create new EV business models, strike ground-breaking partnerships, create mobility products, and build the Group’s intelligent manufacturing platform to transform the mobility value chain.
