The maker of the innovative CAD software for 2D drafting, 3D modeling, BIM, and mechanical design, Bricsys, is partnering with VREX, the BIM/CAD VR collaboration platform, to enhance its virtual reality workflow and enable its users to create detailed models in BricsCAD BIM.
The improved virtual reality workflow would allow AECO companies to streamline collaboration and coordination amongst multiple stakeholders working together on an assignment within a VR environment. It will significantly reduce the margin for error and miscommunication and help companies capitalize on valuable insights in real-time.
The BricsCAD BIM solution uses OpenBIM and certified IFC workflows to make it simpler for Vrex subscribers to host virtual meetings inside the model, carry out visual inspections, and exchange buildings and project data remotely in a compliant manner.
Both platforms support the exchange of BIM Collaboration Format issues through interface services such as BIM Track, BIMsync, and BIMcollab to make them more straightforward for the users. It allows for easy communication and discussion of issues emerging during the virtual meeting that users can resolve within BricsCAD BIM.
BricsCAD BIM would empower Vrex users with an AI-powered design tool that supports flexible workflows and offers feature-rich tools with an IFC-first approach. The partnership between the two companies will help facilitate countless successful projects and lead to the creation of better products.
“This partnership is another exciting step in our mission of providing industry-leading software solutions as the construction sector continues to digitize,” said Rahul Kejriwal, CEO of Bricsys.
The partnership is a crucial milestone for VREX as it aims to progress toward global BIM integration. Vrex-BricsCAD will allow anyone, irrespective of their experience level, to step into the 3D model and understand it instantly.
“It allows for crystal clear communication across teams and seamless collaboration in a virtual reality environment,” said Hans Fredrik Johansen, CEO of VREX.
