One of the world’s largest metaverse builder communities, Sandstorm, has unveiled its beta platform to help brands discover top builders and explore opportunities in the fast-growing sector. The platform was initially launched at SXSW in March with select top brands, agencies, and innovative NFT projects.

Sandstorm aims to become the first-ever metaverse platform of its kind that bridges the gap between creators and businesses. The initiative will foster mainstream adoption of the metaverse amongst the most prominent brands and build more awareness about the industry as a whole.

The Sandstorm community has immensely supported an NFT marketplace live on both Polygon and Ethereum and passed over 1,000 verified metaverse builders in the first 30 days. Launching on polygon was a key priority for the company to help users benefit from low gas fees and make the platform more accessible.

Founder and CEO Steve McGarry explained that in the near future, the platform would enable brands to fully acquire metaverse experiences from the builders, in addition to the current functionality of enabling brands to hire the builders. Sandstorm also offers white glove services to new entrants in the space, providing a turnkey experience.

The metaverse is a brand new space, with new, pioneering technologies coming to light every day. Therefore, staying updated with the latest developments in the industry is crucial for every entrepreneur to make the most of the opportunities coming towards them.

Nevertheless, the gap between discovering and understanding the potential of these technologies will continue to be a significant problem for businesses. Sandstorm aims to solve this predicament by helping them transition to newer technologies and develop modern experiences that can attract younger audiences.

“There has been an overwhelming demand from the NFT community as we’ve grown organically to reach over 3 million people each month pre-launch,” said McGarry. “That said, we have over 50 brands lined up and over 1,000 builders now verified across two decentralized virtual worlds.”
