The leading provider of 3D, VR, AR, Industrial IoT, and CAD solutions, Vection Technologies, will unveil 3D Frame, a plugin designed to add immersive metaverse features to Webex Meetings, at the Cisco LIVE 2022 conference.
The Cisco LIVE 2022 conference is taking place through a hybrid mode in Las Vegas and online from 12th to June 16th. During the event, Vection will introduce updates that equip Webex users with immersive collaboration features, such as virtual world-building tools, to help solidify their modern hybrid working routines.
Through a video announcement on June 6th, Vection and Cisco had teased the 3D Frame plugin for Webex Meetings. It seamlessly transitions ongoing video conferences into immersive virtual reality meeting spaces.
Cisco is looking to integrate the 3D Frame plugin with the Webex Meeting’s Embedded Apps Framework, allowing users to interact with third-party applications during their virtual meetings. The framework currently enables users to take advantage of features, such as conducting polls or receiving metric data.
The service also comes with an extensive software development kit (SDK) to enable individuals or firms to create custom integrated applications. Cisco also offers a deep resource pool for its SDK to assist with application development at all levels.
