The leading extended reality solutions provider, disguise, has launched a Metaverse Solutions division to build next-gen live, virtual production, and audiovisual location-based experiences for the metaverse.

The company will use its existing portfolio of solutions as a foundation to help businesses take advantage of the unique opportunities on offer within the metaverse. disguise’s market-leading extended reality workflow has been used in over 600 productions in over 50 countries over the past two years.

Kaskade’s in Fortnite, Rocket League as part of its Llama-Rama event series, and experiences for global brands, such as Gucci and Ferrari, are a few notable instances where its technology has left its mark.

disguise also aims to capitalize on its partnerships with metaverse event enablers Surreal, advanced content creators Zoan, and Epic Games to enhance its virtual production workflows custom-designed for the metaverse.

Live concerts have emerged as a popular offering for the metaverse, with 45% of all adults inclined towards listening to music virtually. For over 20 years, the company has worked with renowned artists, including Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Camilla Cabello, Katy Perry, DJ Kaskade, and J.Balvin, and shows such as Coachella and Glastonbury.

Brands such as Nike, Underarmour, Volvo, Siemens, and Walmart have deployed their solutions. The company’s technology had powered the augmented reality and projection mapping experiences in the 2020 Expo Al Wasl Plaza dome.

“Our mission is to help create experiences that challenge expectations. We believe in connecting the physical with the virtual worlds to create Gateways to the Metaverse. Through this, we will enable a world that fulfills essential human needs: to connect, to collaborate, and to be included,” said disguise CEO Fernando Küfer.

The company’s rich history will enable the new division to collaborate with leading global metaverse platforms, such as Fortnite, Roblox, Sandbox, Niantic, and others. Therefore, it can build integrated solutions that brands can leverage to create engaging metaverse experiences for their audience.
