The leading provider of immersive, therapeutic VR experiences designed for seniors, MyndVR and HTC VIVE, a global leader in VR technology, recently announced the official launch of MyndVR 3.0, exclusively bundled with the new HTC VIVE Flow.

“Since 2016, MyndVR has been pioneering the field of digital, VR-based therapeutics with older adults,” stated Chris Brickler, CEO of MyndVR.

In a range of senior healthcare settings, such as senior living, skilled nursing, veteran homes, and hospice, the next generation of the MyndVR platform will offer the most visually striking and lightest immersive glasses ever delivered.

A third of the weight of other standard VR headsets is saved by the VIVE Flow, which weighs less than a cup of coffee. Older eyes can easily adjust the display for clear visuals because of its broad 100-degree field of view, 3.2K resolution, smooth 75 Hz refresh rate, and built-in diopter dials. As part of MyndSpatial™ sound-based therapy, VIVE Flow also provides immersive, 3D spatial audio and can pair with Bluetooth earphones.

“At HTC, we believe in the power and wonder of VR for people of all generations,” said Cher Wang, co-founder, and Chairwoman of HTC.

The new Flow Immersive Glasses mark a significant advancement in terms of weight, comfort, sanitization, and visual clarity.

The initial rollout of ASC’s strategy will include 22 communities offering various levels of skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care. Additionally,  MyndExplorer™, the most sophisticated VR-based interactive map program powered by Google Maps, will be provided to ASC. MyndExplorer™ is a powerful and entertaining therapeutic tool for reminiscence and socialization therapies. It enables seniors and their caregivers to travel virtually to almost any location globally, bringing back happy memories of previous travels.

With the help of MyndExplorer™, seniors can virtually connect with and explore the natural, musical, artistic, scientific, travel, sporting, and other worlds they have contributed to and benefited from throughout their long lives.
