French startup METAV.RS aims to become a leading new white-label solution for brands looking to enter the metaverse. The no-code content management platform provides Web3 apps that allow luxury brands and retailers to manage their virtual worlds or mini verses.
The METAV.RS technology is directly incorporated with a company’s standard e-commerce site, facilitating the development and selling of NFTs or dematerialized commodities and enhancing consumer experiences. The platform is compatible with the most prominent social networks and metaverses. Moreover, it supports major e-commerce platforms and payment methods.
“We aim to be the Shopify of the metaverse,” said METAV.RS co-founder, Clément Foucher.
The team has created a 3D reconstruction program (3D Builder) that makes it simple to scan actual objects. Digital twins that can be incorporated across the metaverse and into product pages on e-commerce websites can be made using the models generated. The aim is to increase revenue and democratize brand access to the metaverse.
METAV.RS focuses on notable luxury brands and retailers with existing assets for cross-metaverse integration. It has already signed important strategic accounts that are now bound by non-disclosure agreements.
The company, which has offices in Paris, Angers, French’ Blockchain Valley,’ Vierzon, and Hong Kong, has received €3 million in seed funding, led by Jsquare, a specialized Web3 fund based in Singapore. Other notable investors include investment fund 50 Partners, global French consulting firm Sia Partners (through its investment arm Studio), and several other well-known investors.
The funding will be helpful for IT training and recruitment to hasten platform development, templatization, and worldwide expansion. By the end of 2023, the company plans to increase its team size by two folds.
The Web Summit in Lisbon, GITEX in Dubai, CES in Las Vegas, and NRF in New York are just a few events that METAV.RS will be attending and, in certain cases, creating NFT collections for. For the Metaverse Summit, the startup has developed a MetaJacket NFT that can be used in Decentraland and The Sandbox.
