The virtual reality metaverse, Bloktopia, raised $4.2 million for its platform to enable users to learn, earn, play, and create as a central hub for everything cryptocurrency.
The round was led by Animoca Brands and saw participation from Jake Paul’s Anti Fund, Polygon, Bitboy (Ben Armstrong), Wendy-O, X21, Genblock, AU21, Avalanche, Shima Capital, TKX Capital, Kucoin Labs, DuckDAO, Dreamboat Capital, and Magnus Capital.
The company also released a list of brands that will take up residency within the metaverse. The brands or the ‘Anchor Tenants’ will take up prime spaces within the virtual reality skyscraper where they can share exclusive and immersive content. The list included lead investor’s Animoca Brands, Polygon, Avalanche, Dextools, DuckDao, Anti Fund, Polkastarter, Travala, Kucoin, Collateral, and influencers Jake Paul, Bitboy, and Wendy-O with several more agreements in the process.
Ross Tavakoli, CEO of Bloktopia, said, “We were overwhelmed with the interest that we have had from investors and are delighted to be able to close our private round of funding with some amazing backers.”
