The e-commerce company Etsy has launched an interactive, augmented-reality experience called ‘The Etsy House’ to enable its buyers to shop from a virtual home designed using Etsy items.
The platform uses photorealistic and true-to-scale renderings, seamless navigation, and 360-degree visuals to provide prospective buyers a one-of-a-kind virtual home. It takes the holiday shopping experience to another level by allowing consumers to use cutting-edge technology to discover new items to buy.
The platform has been built in collaboration with the creative visualization studio The Boundary. The company has also partnered with Samsung to display the new Serif QLED Smart TVs within the house.
Customers can shop from within the virtual home itself. As they hover over select items, a pop-up appears to provide them all the information they need about the product, along with a purchase link.
