The Snapchat Lenses are just one aspect of the augmented reality experiences on offer on the social media platform. The essence of the technology is seen when users use these features in creative and deeply personal ways. The recently launched feature, called ‘Birthdays Mini,’ is amongst the ones that add the personal touch to tech.

Snap Minis were first introduced later during the Snap Partner Summit. They allow the users to interact with several functions and experiences, which third-party developers can also create. These features are nestled with Snapchat’s Chat, letting users stay within the app while playing around with them.

Built on the Lens sharing feature, the Birthdays Mini feature enables your friends to set up birthday notification AR Lenses that appear within the Chat section and can further be shared through Snaps or Stories.

There are several other Minis within Snapchat, including those created by HBO comprising Max, Poshmark, Movie Tickets by Atom, Register to Vote by DemocracyWorks, and more.

If you haven’t accessed the feature before, you can locate it within the Chat section by tapping on the rocket icon on the extreme right of the chat text field. You can also search for the feature on the mobile apps using the Search field.
